FedEx pulled up in front of my home...with a package

The overnight package must have been generated from Eagan MN before my paperwork was even received in the prepaid UPS envelope I sent them on Tuesday, 3/1..... but they have had 14 months and countless opportunities to reconsider us for a mortgage modification.

There was jubilation when I thought the offer was reasonable.....But when I opened the package, my jaw dropped. They were making us an offer..... but they had increased our payment and added 30,000. additional principal to our loan. They knocked down the interest by a point..... but in the end, the paperwork was a "take it or leave it" offer with a promise of additional unknown fees at "closing". This is feeling like I'm being held up and rolled for loose change. If this is the help they are going to offer, heaven help us.

Then Wells Fargo sent me a package via UPS

Of course, they already have all our documents through a HUD approved third part negotiator, AND they know I have legal representation, they send this to our home like we have never been under consideration for this program before.

The Wells Fargo giant right and left hands never seem to know what is going on. We are on some kind of multi-tract system where we have instructions from different states in different offices telling us to do different things to accommodate their requests. This monster is too big but it's failing to help in any real way.

Independent Field Inspector sneaking around my home....

This notice was left on my door today.

It is already scary enough to have a forbearance agreement that arrived 3 months late and arrearages fees and fines mounting while we make "trial" payments under their instructions, but to have some stranger sneaking around my house and leaving notes on my door is going to make me crazy.

Are they really unaware that we have been negotiating with them for 14 months now? Do they forget that we have an forbearance agreement? A lawyer and a third party HUD negotiator? No, they just are setting up the foreclosure notice and confirming that we are in the house before proceeding to the next level. These guys are scaring the stuffing out of me.
